I spent the day with Steve and Ivan visiting a load of galleries - Modern Art (Kenneth Anger stills); Wilkinson (Mike Silva); James Payne at Twotentwo; Rhodes and Mann and Scout. There's lots more to say on all of these but I'm tired so maybe tomorrow.
Saw that comedian Noel Fielding walking down our street again yesterday. I think he must live round here. I went out a few minutes later and he was at the bus stop. He was wearing white cowboy boots and some tan Farah-type trousers. I think he's put weight on - he looks bigger than he does on telly. I also saw that Phil Gyford in the afternoon (as I often do) cycling past the back of the library.
I'm a muppet. I wanted to try and deal with the huge number of spam comments I get on this site. All the advice was "change the name of your comments script from mt-comments.cgi". This is fine but no one wanted to tell me which other files I'd need to change. But this site did in a calm clear concise way.
I've been drawing guns ' cos that's what you do with them! (Obviously the stress of returning from holiday has had an awful effect which explains the dreadful pun.) Anyway, I'm meeting up with Steve and Ivan this afternoon to photograph them. Between them they clock up around 200 years of internet history. They are both haggard desperate men, unlike the long-haired baggy-arsed jean innernet piss-stroke creative types I see off the 55 bus as it cruises through the safari park that is Shoreditch and Hoxton. I separately spotted two sets of them photographing graffiti yesterday as I walked back from my aunt's in Old Street. I guess the client wanted to "keep it real". Arseholes.
We took hundreds of photos on our new Canon flash bastard digital SLR camera while we were on holiday in Croatia. Mostly they're of hotel rooms, signs around the city and a few of the food we ate. I figured that there are plenty of pictures of Dubrovnik's walls and all that already.
Useful piece by Alan Titchmarsh on how to make leafmould in small and large quantities. He describes leafmould as "the crack cocaine of gardening manures". Basically you collect fallen leaves in the autumn and leave them to rot down for a year before adding them to the garden or using them as a mulch.
...from my holiday in Croatia. It was very lovely. There will be pictures but don't phone me on the mobile in the meantime - it's still there.
Wales have just equalised. They'll probably fuck it up though - they really need to win to have any chance of qualifying.
